🎯 The 5:31 Timed Protocol & Ethos
The Double Century is a 12-rider TTT where the clock stops on the 6th wheel. Success means a 5h31m timed effort (plus a strict 1h allowance for untimed stops).

Strategic Imperatives:
  • Engines > Climbers: Races are won by deep aerobic engines on the flats. Buttery-smooth pacelines are paramount.
  • No Surging: Mismatched strengths mean faster climbers MUST throttle back and hold steady power over the crests. Do not snap the elastic.
  • Protect the 6: If you are an Engine, eat the wind. If you are one of the Protected 6, hide.
  • Great Vibes & Pivots: We have highly experienced riders but different reactions under stress. If someone gets sick or a headwind hits, we pivot together. Protect the unit.
